Automotive Service Advisor
An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Automotive Service Advisor to join a busy and well-established automotive business in Loughborough.
Working within a fast-paced service department, you will play a key role in delivering an exceptional customer experience, managing vehicle bookings, liaising with workshop technicians and ensuring customers are kept informed throughout the repair process. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys a varied role and takes pride in delivering outstanding customer service.
Automotive Service Advisor Responsibilities
- Welcome customers and provide a professional and friendly service from arrival through to vehicle collection.
- Book vehicles in for servicing, repairs, MOTs and general maintenance.
- Liaise with workshop technicians and keep customers updated on vehicle progress.
- Prepare accurate job cards, quotations and invoices.
- Handle customer enquiries via telephone, email and face-to-face.
- Recommend additional products and services where appropriate to maximise revenue opportunities.
- Ensure all service administration is completed accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and encourage repeat business.
- Support the day-to-day operation of the service reception.
- Work closely with the workshop team to ensure vehicles are processed efficiently.
Automotive Service Advisor Requirements
- Previous experience as an Automotive Service Advisor, Aftersales Advisor or similar customer-facing automotive role.
- Experience within a franchised dealership, independent garage, fast-fit centre or autocentre.
- Good understanding of vehicle servicing, repairs, MOTs and general workshop operations.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise a busy workload.
- Confident using workshop management systems and general IT packages.
- Positive, professional and proactive approach.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
