Job overview:
We’re on the lookout for a proactive, detail-oriented individual to join our Operational Support team in Bolton. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a supportive, dynamic organisation where your contributions truly matter. As an Operational Support Team Member, you'll be the backbone of our daily banking and finance operations, ensuring everything runs smoothly and efficiently. Working closely with internal teams and external partners, you'll play a key role in maintaining high standards of accuracy and customer service. It's a busy, varied role that offers plenty of scope to develop your skills and make a real difference.
Key responsibilities:

Processing daily post, emails, and transactions accurately and within set timescales.

Performing banking processes in line with best practice and compliance standards.

Managing customer calls, taking card payments, and ensuring queries are handled professionally.

Supporting the team with daily tasks such as archiving, admin, and system updates.

Ensuring all work requests are completed to specification and within deadlines.

Building effective relationships with internal and external customers, delivering excellent service.

Assisting with ad-hoc tasks to support wider Finance Operations activities.

Maintaining accurate records of system access and profiles for all team members.
Work arrangements:
At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You'll work at least two days a week (40%) away from home, moving to three days a week (60%) from December 2026. Away from home means attending the office, visiting clients or attending industry events.
Your skills & experience:

Experience in a similar operational or finance support role.

Good knowledge of banking and finance processes, including cheque and BACS handling.

Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
-
Great communication skills, both written and verbal.

A familiarity with AXA’s systems and processes or similar experience.
-
Ability to work in a fast-moving environment and adapt to change.
-
A positive, proactive attitude and excellent team player mentality.

Knowledge of GDPR and data protection standards.
