We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Assistant to support our culinary team in delivering high-quality meals and maintaining a clean, organised kitchen environment. Responsibilities
- Assist with meal preparation and food safety procedures to ensure compliance with health standards
- Support chefs and kitchen staff in preparing ingredients and assembling dishes
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen surfaces, utensils, and equipment throughout shifts
- Organise stock supplies, check inventory levels, and assist with restocking as needed
- Serve food to customers or staff in a courteous and professional manner
- Follow all food safety guidelines and hygiene standards at all times
- Support catering events by setting up and clearing away food stations
- Assist with basic cooking tasks under supervision to enhance culinary skills
Requirements
- Previous experience in catering, restaurant work, or food preparation is desirable but not essential; a keen interest in culinary arts is important
- Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Good organisational skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately
- Flexibility to work shifts that may include early mornings, evenings, or weekends as required
