As our customer base continues to grow, we need another highly qualified technician in our Birmingham workshop. You'll work across the whole VW-Group vehicles (Lamborghini, Bentley, Vw, Audi, Porsche, SEAT, Skoda or CUPRA), from routine servicing and ODIS diagnostics to complex engine and transmission work. Assisting workshop manager with daily job cards and difficult diagnosis, mentor junior technicians whilst maintaining the same high standard of work.
Key responsibilities
Carry out diagnostics, fault-finding and repairs across the whole VW-Group and Audi Group vehicles using ODIS / VCDS / ISTA / PIWIS factory software. Perform quality wiring and electrical diagnosis work & repairs to wiring looms in a professional manor. Complete complex mechanical work such as timing chains, cambelts, DSG gearboxes, turbos and engine rebuilds. Conduct brake, suspension and drivetrain repairs to a high standard. Support and mentor junior technicians in the workshop, and maintain clear job cards. Assist workshop manager with daily work flow and managing junior technicians. Assist front of house with customers needing a technical explanation.
Essential requirements
VW/Audi Master Technician qualified. Proven ODIS diagnostic experience. Strong fault-finding across petrol and diesel. Engine and gearbox diagnosis, interior and infotainment. Full UK driving licence. A genuine passion for VW Group vehicles.
Nice to have
Lamborghini, Bentley, Vw-Audi group, Porsche, SEAT, Skoda or CUPRA experience. Performance hardware fitting. IMI Level 2/3 EV and hybrid. Customer-facing communication. Strong Diagnosis Experience and knowledge of Can Bus Systems, ADAS systems, Proficient at wiring checks and thorough repairs.
What we offer
£39,000 to £50,000 per year depending on experience. A modern workshop with ODIS, PIWIS, ISTA, VCDS equipment and quality tooling (Vas Tooling). No Sundays and reasonable hours. 8:30AM - 5:30PM, one Saturday rostered per month 8:30AM - 4:00PM, (Negotiable). Manufacturer-level training and development towards master technician. VW Group & German vehicles exclusively. OE-quality genuine parts always, no cutting corners. Workplace pension contributions. A 4.8-star team that customers trust and recommend.
