Role: Registered Manager
Salary: Up to £60k per annum DOE
Location: Bedfordshire
We at Edenvale Recruitment are looking for a Registered Manager to join our clients residential care home in the Luton area.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead the service – Take ownership of the day-to-day operation of a residential care setting, ensuring consistently high standards of care and support.
- Maintain quality standards – Ensure the service meets all relevant regulatory, legal and quality requirements, with effective systems in place to monitor performance.
- Lead and develop the team – Provide visible and supportive leadership, overseeing recruitment, staffing, performance, training and professional development.
- Oversee care delivery – Ensure individual care arrangements are personalised, regularly reviewed and responsive to residents’ changing needs and preferences.
- Promote safety and wellbeing – Maintain effective safeguarding, risk management, medication and health and safety practices across the service.
- Build strong relationships – Work collaboratively with residents, families, colleagues, healthcare professionals and other external partners.
- Drive service improvement – Monitor operational and financial performance, identify opportunities for improvement and implement changes that enhance quality and efficiency.
We are looking for a Registered Manager with:
- Proven management or senior leadership experience within a regulated adult social care setting, ideally supporting older people.
- Strong knowledge and experience of residential care, including supporting people with a range of age-related and complex needs.
- Demonstrable experience of leading and developing care teams, including recruitment, staffing, performance management and workforce planning.
- Good practical knowledge of safeguarding, risk management, assessments and person-centred care planning.
- A strong understanding of the regulatory and legislative framework governing adult social care.
- A relevant health and social care leadership/management qualification, or equivalent experience with a willingness to undertake further professional development.
- Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills, with the flexibility and resilience required to manage a busy care service.
