Hours: Full-time, 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday (occasional out-of-hours work may be required)

Smart Money Cymru Community Bank is looking for a motivated and customer-focused Customer Adviser to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to support members with their financial needs while promoting the values and benefits of ethical, community-based financial services.
As a Customer Adviser, you will be at the heart of our operations, providing outstanding service to members, processing transactions and loan applications, supporting community engagement and helping to grow our membership and services across Wales.
About the Role
Reporting to the Head of Operations, you will provide high-quality customer service and administrative support across our branch network. You will assist members with a range of services, process financial transactions accurately and contribute to the promotion and growth of Smart Money Cymru.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional customer service to members and visitors.
- Carry out cashier duties and process member transactions accurately.
- Bank cash and cheques daily in accordance with procedures.
- Respond to enquiries by telephone, email, text and in person.
- Assist members with account services, savings, withdrawals, transfers, and loan applications.
- Maintain accurate records and process data using various software systems.
- Process corporate membership applications and accounts.
- Administer member accounts.
- Support payment administration .
- Administer and monitor Bond Board payments and related activities.
- Assist with marketing and promotional activities to raise awareness of Smart Money Cymru's products and services.
- Contribute towards membership, savings and lending growth targets.
- Manage incoming and outgoing post, correspondence, and emails.
- Maintain accurate filing and document management systems.
- Provide cover for finance administration and credit control activities when required.
- Support volunteers, service points and community outreach activities.
- Undertake any other duties reasonably required to support the successful operation of Smart Money Cymru.

Essential Skills and Experience
- Good literacy and numeracy skills.
- Competent in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and Excel.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage empathetically with members, colleagues, and stakeholders.
- Ability to work effectively in a busy office environment.
- Good attention to detail and accuracy when processing financial information.
- An appreciation of and commitment to the values and principles of the credit union movement.
