We are seeking a confident and experienced Care Team Leader (Senior Care Specialist) who is passionate about mentoring staff, maintaining high CQC standards, and ensuring our clients receive the very best support.
The Role
In this vital field-based role, you will implement quality control systems, guide our Care Workers, and deliver hands-on care when needed. You will act as a trusted bridge between management, our care team, and the families we support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Staff Mentorship & Induction: Guide new Care Workers through their induction process. Provide ongoing hands-on training, shadowing, 1-to-1 supervision, and spot checks to ensure staff work within their competency levels.
- Customer Care & Quality Control: Conduct initial assessments, customer reviews, and risk assessments. Attend new clients' first calls to personally introduce their allocated Care Workers.
- Direct Care: Actively provide personal care and emotional support to clients as and when required to lead by example and support rota coverage.
- Operational & Office Support: Assist Care Coordinators with allocating unassigned calls during office hours. Ensure all digital reporting and documentation are strictly updated.
- On-Call Rota: Participate in the team leader on-call rota on a scheduled basis.
What You Will Need
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar supervisory or senior role within the domiciliary care sector.
- Qualifications: NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent / currently working towards).
- Communication: High confidence in your communication skills, with a proven ability to build strong relationships with clients, families, care staff, and health professionals.
- Licence & Transport: Full UK Driving Licence.
