Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Technician to join our dynamic Cad - Cam dental team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating high-quality dental Crown, Bridge, Implants to restore patients’ smiles and improve their oral health using Exocad or 3 Shape digital software. Your expertise will directly contribute to patient satisfaction and overall treatment success.
- Required - Strong communication, organization, teamwork, attention to detail and digital technical skills using Exocad or 3 Shape, are essential for delivering exceptional results.
- Understanding of dental anatomy, occlusion and restoration design.
- The ability to work independently and part of a team, highly organised and able to prioritise workloads to timed deadlines.
Duties
- Fabricate and customize dental Crown, Bridge, Inlays, Onlays, Implant supported restorations, based on detailed prescriptions from dentists using Cad Cam digital software, Exocad or 3 Shape, undertake all scanning and design.
- Prepare digital cases for milling and or 3D printing, or exporting.
- Import and process all digital intraoral scans, laboratory scans on a daily basis.
- Ensure all Email & WA communications are answered and followed upon a daily basis.
- Maintain meticulous records of each case, including materials used and fabrication steps & stock orders.
- Preparation of conventional stone models.
- Operate and maintain Cad Cam Milling machines and 3d printers.
- Work with materials including Zirconia, Lithium Disilicate / E-Max, PMMA, CoCr and resins where applicable.
- Ability to handle IT systems related to digital impressions, CAD-CAM software, and record-keeping tools.
- Liaise with Dental Technicians regarding complex or specialist cases
- Identify and resolve design or production issues before manufacture.
- Ensure all cases are completed within agreed turnaround times.
- Maintain accurate digital case records and follow laboratory procedures.
- Carry out routine cleaning and basic maintenance of Cad-Cam equipment.
- Keep up to date with developments in digital dentistry
- Maintain high standards of infection control, health and saftey and laboratory cleanliness.
- Support other team members of the Cad-Cam and technical teams when required
- Liaise with Dental Laboratory Coordinator / Administrator on daily workflow
- Confidence to communicate with Clients by Phone
- GDC registration
- This role is on site NG16 1EY and not remote
Previous experience required as a Dental Technician using Cad Cam software, salary depending on experience
