About the Role
We are looking for a CNC Operative to join our team in Brandon, Suffolk. This role is open to candidates of all experience levels - from those looking to start a career in CNC machining to experienced operators with Flat Bed CNC or VMC (Vertical Machining Centre) experience.
You will be working on a variety of bespoke projects, producing high-quality components using CNC machinery. This is a great opportunity to develop your skills in a supportive environment, with training provided for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate CNC machinery including Flat Bed and/or VMC machines
- Set up and run jobs under supervision (or independently, depending on experience)
- Load materials and monitor machining processes
- Inspect finished components to ensure quality standards are met
- Carry out basic machine maintenance and housekeeping
- Work closely with team members to meet production deadlines
- Follow health and safety procedures at all times
What We’re Looking For:
Trainee level
- Keen interest in engineering or manufacturing
- Willingness to learn and develop new skills
- Good attention to detail and practical mindset
- Basic mechanical understanding
Experienced level
- Previous experience operating CNC machines (Flat Bed and/or VMC)
- Ability to set and run machines independently (advantageous)
- Understanding of machining processes and materials
- Understanding of production drawings and similar
