The Role
We're looking for an experienced Software Engineer who wants to take ownership of a platform rather than simply write code.
You'll be responsible for developing new features, improving performance, fixing bugs, integrating third-party systems and helping shape the technical direction of ParksGo.
This role offers significant responsibility and the opportunity to become a key member of a growing business.
Responsibilities
Design, build and maintain new platform features.
Improve user experience across desktop and mobile.
Develop secure APIs and backend services.
Build scalable database structures.
Integrate payment gateways and third-party services.
Improve platform speed and reliability.
Implement AI features where appropriate.
Develop dashboards and reporting tools.
Work closely with management to turn ideas into working products.
Identify opportunities to automate processes.
Ensure the platform remains secure and compliant.
Help plan the long-term technical roadmap.
Essential Skills
Strong experience with JavaScript/TypeScript.
Experience with React, Vue or similar frontend frameworks.
Backend experience using Node.js, PHP, Python or similar.
SQL and database design.
REST API development.
Git version control.
Excellent problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently.
Strong attention to detail.
Desirable Skills
AWS, Azure or Google Cloud.
Docker and CI/CD pipelines.
AI and machine learning integrations.
Mobile app development.
Experience building marketplace platforms.
Payment gateway integrations.
Mapping and location services.
SEO and web performance optimisation.
