About the Role
Striking Iron is looking for an experienced and reliable Steel Fabricator / Welder to join our growing team based in Balfron.
We are looking for a well-mannered, hardworking individual with excellent fabrication and welding skills who can produce high-quality work, work efficiently, and contribute positively as part of a team.
The role involves the fabrication and welding of a variety of steel products, including gates, handrails, balustrades, structural steelwork and other bespoke metalwork.
Pay
£28,000 – £38,000 per year, depending on experience and skill level.
Working Pattern
- Monday to Friday
- 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
- Workshop and site-based role
Key Responsibilities
- Fabricate and weld gates, railings, handrails and balustrades.
- Manufacture and assemble structural steelwork.
- Read and interpret fabrication drawings.
- Carry out MIG welding and general steel fabrication to a high standard.
- Ensure all work meets company quality standards.
- Work safely and efficiently in both the workshop and on-site.
- Maintain a clean and organised working environment.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years' experience in steel fabrication and welding.
- Proven experience manufacturing gates, railings and similar steelwork.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Strong welding and fabrication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable, punctual and committed to producing high-quality work.
