Job Description:
Working within a small team in the manufacturing, warehouse and stores areas to assemble and test different mechanical components and parts in order to deliver a complete product. The ability to work from drawings and build instructions unsupervised is essential.
Training & Education:
This role requires as a minimum a basic education to include GCSE level C or above in Maths and English Language. A recognised apprenticeship or relevant BTEC or equivalent is also preferred but not essential.
Key Skills and Experience:
· Two years minimum experience as a mechanical assembly technician having ultimately achieved a skilled level.
· Be able to understand the Works Order and Picking process within the manufacturing environment.
· Good fault-finding experience with an ability to repair basic parts as necessary.
· Be able to set up and operate equipment as per instructions or guidance received.
· Ability to assemble parts and components.
· Some basic electrical experience would be preferred but is not essential.
· Good manual dexterity, consistency and attention to detail.
· Be able to test sub-assemblies and finished product during the manufacturing process.
· Be able inspect parts and identify defects prior to and during the manufacturing process.
Key Responsibilities:
· Handle small, medium and larger parts to create a finished product from either build instructions or directly from drawings.
· Test part assembled and finished product to specific test instructions.
· Ensure the assembly area is maintained as a safe, clean and tidy working environment.
· Ensure compliance with all company rules and regulations.
· Make sure that production timelines are maintained.
· Report all discrepancies and complete the necessary paperwork as appropriate.
· Ensure all products are being manufactured to a consistent build quality.

Pay: £24,420.00-£32,000.00 per year
