Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will provide high-quality support to individuals in care homes or within their own homes, assisting with daily activities and promoting well-being. Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Support clients with mobility and daily activities to promote independence
- Follow individualised care plans to deliver tailored support
- Maintain clear and effective communication with clients, families, and team members
- Document care provided accurately using IT systems and record-keeping procedures
- Support clients with medication administration as instructed by healthcare professionals
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding if required
- Ensure a safe and clean environment for clients at all times
- Drive or accompany clients to appointments or outings when necessary
Qualifications
- Previous experience working in a care home or providing home care is desirable but not essential, as training will be provided
- Valid driving licence is advantageous for roles involving travel or client transportation
- Good communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Basic IT skills for documentation and communication purposes
- Compassionate attitude with excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility to work various shifts including days, evenings, or weekends if required
