To lead and manage the co-ordination and development of a wide range of innovation projects across the organisation generating project charters, detailed plans, risks, issues and benefits tracking as appropriate. To provide effective and innovative leadership and management, in collaboration with the clinical teams, cancer information, corporate and support services, academia, patients, charity, industry partners and other key stakeholders to embed innovation.
In partnership with key multidisciplinary teams the post holder will plan, develop and support the delivery of projects from conception to implementation end. As a result, these projects will improve patient care and patient experience through enhanced quality of services delivered at best value. This will demand high levels of judgement, analysis and interaction to agree clear solutions and recommendations that the post holder will be responsible for implementing within the remit of the defined projects.
Key relationships: directors of Research, development and Innovation, Clinical Director, clinical leads, Head of sections and Governance, senior scientists, consultants and Directorate Management and Finance Team, NIHR infrastructure personnel, SMEs, commercial organisations and charities.
