Duties
- Safely operate a taxi vehicle, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies to ensure passenger safety at all times
- Pick up and drop off passengers at designated locations promptly, maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor
- Maintain cleanliness and basic mechanical upkeep of the vehicle to ensure optimal performance and appearance
- Communicate clearly with passengers to understand their destinations, provide local information, or answer questions about the service
- Navigate using GPS or traditional maps efficiently to reach destinations in a timely manner
- Assist passengers with luggage or mobility needs when necessary, demonstrating excellent customer service skills
- Complete trip logs, mileage records, and any required documentation accurately for operational purposes
Qualifications
- Proven experience in commercial driving, delivery driving, or as a van driver with a strong understanding of road safety practices
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; relevant licenses for taxi operation preferred
- Mechanical knowledge to perform basic vehicle checks and minor repairs if needed
- Experience working in warehouse environments or with flatbed trucks is a plus
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with diverse passengers and team members
- Familiarity with using GPS devices or navigation apps for efficient route planning
- Ability to handle physical tasks such as loading/unloading luggage or assisting passengers with mobility devices

Pay: £12.71 per hour
