We are looking for a Kitchen Porter to join our passionate Kitchen team at The Ritual Kitchen, located at Ritual Coffee Roasters in Cheltenham.
The role is a part-time position and is crucial to the smooth running of the kitchen, including pot wash and cleaning duties, as well as basic prep and assisting the Chef in service when necessary. The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in food and hospitality with some experience in a commercial kitchen. Ideally keen to learn our menu, and be trained to cover Chef Holidays in the Kitchen for service too. Strong communication skills necessary to ensure smooth service working alongside the chefs and FOH.
Part-time position with daytime hours.
Friday, Sat& Sundays, and Bank Holidays.
Shift times 10.00am - 15.00pm
Responsibilities:
· Washing pots, plate and cutlery during service to ensure smooth operation for FOH.
· Ensure kitchen is kept clean and tidy.
· Supporting the chef during service with cooking/plating dishes, as well as cleaning and returning essential cooking equipment
· Working with the FOH team to ensure a quick and clean turnaround of washing up, as well as ensuring food is served in line with drink orders
· Taking responsibility for emptying bins and recycling
· Cleaning down after service and ensuring all surfaces and floors are spotless
· Making sure outside areas are clean, tidy and swept, free of cigarettes and rubbish and perfect for guests
· Assisting chefs with basic prep as needed.
