Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional FOH (Front of House) Team Member to join our vibrant hospitality team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering exceptional guest service and creating a welcoming atmosphere. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills within a dynamic restaurant environment, contributing to memorable dining experiences for our guests. Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant settings is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided. A positive attitude, strong organisational skills, and a commitment to food safety are essential for success in this role.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly and ensure they feel comfortable upon arrival
- Take accurate orders and serve food and beverages efficiently
- Provide excellent guest service by addressing enquiries and resolving issues promptly
- Assist with food preparation and ensure adherence to food safety standards
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and maximise sales opportunities
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the front of house area, including tables, counters, and service stations
- Handle cash and card transactions accurately using the POS system
- Support team members during busy periods to ensure smooth operations
- Follow all health and safety regulations diligently, including proper food handling procedures
Experience
- Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant environments is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided for suitable candidates
- Knowledge of food safety standards and basic food preparation techniques is desirable
- Familiarity with serving procedures, guest services, and upselling strategies will be beneficial
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively during peak hours
- Good communication skills with a friendly, professional demeanour
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately
- Experience in culinary settings or kitchen work can be an added advantage but is not essential
