Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated SEN (Special Educational Needs) Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant educational team. In this role, you will support children with diverse learning needs, including those with autism and other disabilities, helping them access the curriculum and thrive in a nurturing environment. Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with special educational needs, including autism and disabilities
- Assist teachers in implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and adapt activities to meet each child's unique requirements
- Support children with communication challenges by facilitating effective interaction and encouraging expressive language skills
- Help create a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment that promotes positive behavior and social development
- Assist with daily routines such as classroom transitions, personal care, and sensory activities for toddlers and young children
- Monitor student progress and report observations to teaching staff to inform ongoing support strategies
- Foster independence by encouraging students to participate actively in lessons and classroom activities
Qualifications
- Experience working with children, particularly those with autism or disabilities, is highly desirable
- Prior experience supporting individuals with special educational needs or in a similar role is preferred
- Knowledge of teaching strategies tailored for children with diverse learning needs
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students, teachers, and parents
- Ability to remain patient, adaptable, and energetic in a dynamic classroom setting
- Familiarity with toddler care routines and early childhood development principles is a plus
- A genuine passion for supporting children’s growth and learning in an inclusive environment

Pay: £95.00-£120.00 per day
