Are you an experienced Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer looking to join a leading UK manufacturing business? We're recruiting for a skilled engineer to join a busy production site in Coalville, where you'll play a vital role in ensuring manufacturing equipment operates safely, efficiently, and reliably.
Working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, you'll be responsible for planned and reactive maintenance, fault finding, continuous improvement initiatives, and supporting the installation of new equipment.

The Role:
As a Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer, your responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance and reactive breakdown repairs, with a focus on electrical and automation systems
- Diagnosing faults using PLCs, HMIs, alarms, instrumentation, and electrical test equipment
- Repairing and maintaining motors, drives, sensors, encoders, servo systems, safety circuits, and other control equipment
- Supporting control system upgrades and maintaining accurate technical documentation
- Completing inspections, testing, calibration, adjustments, and safety checks
- Complete mechanical tasks such as bearings, belts, chains, gearboxes, and alignment
- Performing routine maintenance on site services including boilers, compressors, chillers, fire and sprinkler systems, and water hygiene systems
- Investigating recurring equipment faults, identifying root causes, and working with Production and Engineering teams to implement long-term solutions
- Maintaining accurate records using the site's Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
- Assisting with the installation, commissioning, testing, and handover of new or modified equipment
- Participating in training and developing skills across a range of production equipment and maintenance disciplines
About You:
To be successful in this role, you'll have:
- A recognised engineering apprenticeship
- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in an Engineering discipline
- At least 3 years' maintenance engineering experience within a manufacturing environment
- Strong electrical fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- A proactive approach to continuous improvement
- A good understanding of health, safety, and environmental standards
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Flexibility and the ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced production environment
