Overview
We’re looking for enthusiastic and reliable Bar & Waiting Staff to join our lively hospitality team for matchdays and events at Colchester United Football Club. As a key part of the front-of-house team, you’ll deliver excellent customer service both behind the bar and on the floor, helping to create a friendly and enjoyable atmosphere for all guests. This role suits someone with great time management, a passion for hospitality, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks in line with standard recipes and customer preferences
- Take accurate food and drink orders, deliver items promptly, and check back to ensure guest satisfaction
- Keep the bar, service areas and dining spaces clean, organised and fully stocked
- Provide friendly, efficient service, responding to customer needs in a professional manner
- Assist with stock control and replenishment as required
- Follow food safety procedures and responsible alcohol service guidelines
- Engage positively with customers to create a welcoming environment and encourage repeat visits
- Work closely with kitchen and bar teams to ensure smooth service during busy periods
Requirements
- Previous bar, waiting, or hospitality experience is desirable but not essential
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise effectively
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Understanding of food safety practices is beneficial
- A positive, team-focused attitude and willingness to support across all front-of-house duties
