Chef or Cook – Friendly Rural Pub Kitchen
We're looking for a chef or cook to join our small, welcoming team at The Pack Horse Inn.
Following our current chef's decision to move on and focus on relief work closer to home, we have an exciting opportunity for someone to take on a key role in our kitchen.
This position would suit an experienced chef, a capable cook looking to take the next step, or someone seeking a better work-life balance while still enjoying the buzz of a busy pub kitchen.
The role:
- Running the kitchen for:
- Wednesday evenings (our popular Burger Night)
- Thursday evenings
- Friday evenings
- Saturday evenings
- Sunday lunch service
- Preparing and serving quality, homemade pub food
- Managing kitchen service and maintaining high standards
- Working closely with the owners and front-of-house team
- Opportunity to contribute ideas and help shape menus
About you:
- Confident cooking and managing service independently
- Organised, reliable, and calm under pressure
- Passionate about good, honest pub food
- A team player who enjoys working in a friendly environment
- Previous kitchen experience preferred, but attitude and enthusiasm are just as important
