Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Bartender to join our dynamic hospitality team. This role involves preparing and serving beverages, engaging with customers, and maintaining high standards of food safety and cleanliness. Previous restaurant experience is preferred, along with strong time management skills and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with standard recipes and presentation standards.
- Engage with guests in a friendly, professional manner to enhance their overall experience.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.
- Manage cash transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system.
- Restock bar supplies as needed to ensure smooth service throughout shifts.
- Monitor guest behaviour to promote responsible drinking and adherence to licensing laws.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service during busy periods.
- Assist in setting up the bar before opening and closing procedures at the end of shifts.
Requirements
- Proven experience in hospitality or restaurant environments is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and responsible serving practices.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage politely with diverse clientele.
- Strong organisational skills with effective time management to handle multiple orders simultaneously.
- Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a lively setting while maintaining professionalism.
- Personal presentation that reflects the standards of our establishment.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as required.
