Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Furniture Frame Maker to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for constructing high-quality furniture frames, ensuring precision and adherence to design specifications. Duties
- Fabricate and assemble furniture frames using a variety of hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment
- Measure and cut materials accurately according to technical drawings and specifications
- Join components securely through techniques such as joinery, screwing, nailing, or gluing
- Operate machinery safely and efficiently to produce consistent quality products
- Conduct quality checks throughout the manufacturing process to ensure standards are met
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations
- Assist with the installation of furniture components where required
- Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines and resolve technical issues promptly
Requirements
- Proven experience in fabrication, carpentry, or joinery is highly desirable
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and machinery used in furniture making
- Strong understanding of assembly processes and construction techniques
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately
- Physical capability for heavy lifting and standing for extended periods during shifts
- Knowledge of roofing, plumbing, masonry, electrical work or construction painting is a plus but not essential
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
