Job Summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Practice Nurse to join our experienced nursing team and collaboration of ten GP Practices. The applicant will primarily work in our Bexhill branches at Collington, Pebsham, Sea Road and Ninfield surgeries.
Working alongside the nursing team and under the direct supervision of the Nurse Manager the post-holder will be responsible for delivering nursing services and assisting clinical staff in the provision of treatment for long term conditions, preventative care, health promotion and patient education.
Supported by a Multidisciplinary Team you will deliver care within your scope and work collaboratively with the whole team to meet the needs of patients and improve outcomes, supporting the delivery of policy and procedures and provide leadership as required.
Clinically, the focus of the role is management of patients with long-term conditions and general nursing interventions for patients. It is highly desirable that the successful candidate would have knowledge and experience in Diabetes Management, Asthma/COPD management, cervical cytology, childhood Immunisations and advanced wound care.
A team player with good clinical skills and an interest in further training and personal development are vital. The ability to work autonomously within a busy team environment is essential.
Previous GP Practice experience is essential, EMIS Web clinical system and proficient use with I.T systems would be an advantage.
The post holder will also strive to maximise the practices achievement of both Local and National Quality and Performance objectives.

We are looking for a candidate that is already fully trained and skilled in all areas of General Practice nursing, and whom has experience of working in primary care.
Main duties of the job
Duties will include but not limited to:
Cervical screening
Child and adult immunisations
Wound care and management, both short and longer term to include doppler assessment
Asthma and COPD reviews and on going management
Administering medications and injections in accordance with prescribed protocols
Providing advice on health promotion and disease prevention programmes
Supporting the implementation of practice policies and procedures to ensure high standards of care
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse qualification with valid registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC)
- Proven experience in a clinical or primary care setting is desirable
- Proficiency in medication administration, working under a PGD/PSD and understanding of relevant clinical guidelines
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to empathise with patients of all ages
- Organised, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently as well as part of a team
- Commitment to continuous professional development and maintaining up-to-date clinical skills

Pay: £31,000.00-£40,615.69 per year
