We are seeking a skilled and technically proficient Fire & Security Commissioning Engineer to support the delivery of fire and security systems across a diverse range of client sites. The role will involve commissioning, testing, fault-finding, and supporting the successful handover of systems, ensuring all works are completed to the highest standards of quality, compliance, and customer satisfaction.
- Commission fire detection, alarm, and security systems in accordance with relevant industry standards and regulations.
- Carry out system testing, fault-finding, and rectification works to ensure full functionality and compliance.
- Conduct site surveys and installation inspections prior to commissioning activities.
- Liaise with customers, engineers, and internal teams to ensure works are completed efficiently and within agreed timescales.
- Provide technical support and guidance to installation and service engineers where required.
- Complete all commissioning documentation, test certificates, and reports accurately and in a timely manner.
- Deliver basic system demonstrations and operational guidance to clients and end-users upon completion.
- Ensure all works are carried out in line with company procedures and health & safety requirements.
- Identify and report any installation issues, variations, or remedial works required.
- Support installation and minor works teams when required to meet business demands.
- Maintain a professional and customer-focused approach at all times while representing the business on site.
- Ensure company standards relating to quality, safety, and environmental compliance are consistently upheld.
- Strong technical background within the fire and security industry.
- Proven experience commissioning fire alarm and/or security systems.
- Good fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations.
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Organised and detail-oriented, with accurate record-keeping ability.
- Professional and positive attitude with a proactive approach to work.
- Flexible and adaptable, with willingness to support wider engineering activities when required.
- Full UK driving licence preferred.
