Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various settings, including residential homes and hotels. This role requires a strong commitment to providing excellent customer service and ensuring a welcoming environment for all guests and residents.
Duties
- Perform general cleaning tasks such as dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitising surfaces.
- Ensure all areas are tidy and well-maintained, including bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, and common areas.
- Handle laundry duties, including washing, drying, folding, and ironing linens and garments.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel promptly.
- Assist with cooking tasks as needed, preparing simple meals or snacks for residents or guests.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing guest inquiries and requests in a friendly manner.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and report when stock is low.
Experience
- Previous experience in commercial cleaning or housekeeping roles is preferred but not essential.
- Experience in a hotel environment is advantageous.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with guests and residents.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
