Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Scaffolder/Labourer to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with scaffolding erection and dismantling, supporting various construction activities, and ensuring safety standards are maintained on-site. This role offers an opportunity to develop skills across multiple trades within a dynamic environment.
Duties
- Assist in the assembly, installation, and dismantling of scaffolding structures in accordance with safety regulations and project specifications.
- Support trades such as carpentry, roofing, painting, plumbing, masonry, welding, electrical work, and fabrication as required.
- Handle hand tools and power tools safely to aid in construction tasks.
- Assist with site preparation, material handling, and clean-up to ensure smooth workflow.
- Follow health and safety protocols at all times to minimise risks on-site.
- Support the team in maintaining organised work areas and ensuring equipment is in good condition.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to meet project deadlines.
Requirements
- Previous experience or familiarity with construction trades such as carpentry, roofing, painting, plumbing, masonry, welding, or electrical work is advantageous.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Ability to perform physical labour including lifting heavy materials and working at heights.
- Good organisational skills and attention to safety standards.
- Willingness to learn new skills across different construction disciplines.
- Basic understanding of fabrication processes is desirable but not essential.
- Valid health & safety awareness; certification or training in scaffolding is a plus but not mandatory for entry-level candidates.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and adhere to site safety regulations. This role is essential for supporting construction projects from start to finish while ensuring a safe working environment for all personnel involved.
Pay: £14.00-£22.00 per hour
