Aluminium Fabricator / Glazier
AMS Talent Group is recruiting on behalf of an established and growing company specialising in commercial glazing, glass shopfronts, aluminium doors and architectural aluminium framing systems.
We are seeking an experienced Aluminium Fabricator / Glazier to join the team. The successful candidate will have strong practical experience within aluminium fabrication and/or commercial glazing and will be comfortable working both independently and as part of a professional installation team.
The role involves fabrication and installation work across projects throughout the UK and Ireland, with occasional overnight stays required.
Key Responsibilities
- Fabricate and install aluminium doors, windows, shopfronts and framing systems.
- Carry out commercial glazing and installation work to a high standard.
- Measure, cut, assemble and prepare aluminium profiles and components.
- Install glass, aluminium frames, doors and associated systems.
- Read and work from technical drawings, specifications and measurements.
- Work on commercial, retail and other construction projects.
- Ensure all work is completed accurately, safely and to the required quality standards.
- Follow company health and safety procedures and site requirements.
- Work effectively both independently and as part of a wider installation team.
- Travel throughout the UK and Ireland as required.
- Work away from home when required, with a meal allowance provided.
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience in aluminium fabrication, commercial glazing or a closely related trade.
- Practical experience with aluminium windows, doors, shopfronts or architectural aluminium systems.
- Ability to work accurately from measurements and technical drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Reliable, professional and capable of working independently.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Flexibility to travel throughout the UK and Ireland.
- Full legal right to work in the UK and/or Ireland.
Desirable Experience
- Commercial glazing experience.
- Aluminium shopfront installation.
- Curtain walling.
- Architectural aluminium systems.
- Aluminium door and window installation.
- Commercial construction or shopfitting projects.
- CSCS card.
- Full UK driving licence.
Working Hours
Monday to Friday
8:00am – 5:00pm
Travel and overnight stays will be required depending on project location.
