Crawfords is seeking an experienced and proactive Customer Service Coordinator to support our growing same day courier operation. This is a fast-paced role that requires excellent communication skills, strong customer focus, and a solid understanding of time-critical logistics.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain strong relationships with key clients, ensuring any service delays or issues are communicated in a timely and professional manner.
- Work closely with the operations team to optimise service performance and ensure all deadlines and delivery schedules are met.
- Investigate and report on any service failures, identifying causes and contributing to continuous improvement.
- Assist the Head of Operations with the day-to-day running of the department.
- Attend client visits as the role develops, helping to strengthen customer relationships and support business growth.
Successful internal relationships will be vital. The successful applicant will need diplomacy and a strong understanding of colleagues' roles, together with an awareness of the internal and external pressures that can affect operational decision-making.
About You
- Minimum of 1 year's experience working on a same day courier desk (essential).
- Strong understanding of time-critical logistics and courier operations.
- Excellent communication and customer relationship management skills.
- Highly organised, with the ability to prioritise workloads in a fast-moving environment.
- Calm under pressure and able to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Computer literate and confident using operational systems.
- Experience with Freedom logistics software would be advantageous.
Please note: Industry experience is essential. Applications will only be considered from candidates who have worked on a same day courier desk for a minimum of one year.
