Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Class 2 Hiab Driver to join our dynamic transportation team. In this role, you will operate a Class 2 vehicle equipped with a Hiab crane, ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of goods to various locations. Your expertise in flatbed and commercial driving will be essential in managing deliveries that require precision handling and secure transportation. OVERTIME RATES
*** Any hours over 45hours will then get overtime rate at £27.00 per hour***
**Sat- 4hrs minimum at £24.75** therefor after 4hrs the rate is increased to £30.00p/hour**
**Sun rate @ £30.00p/hour full shift***
Duties
- Safely operate a Class 2 vehicle with a Hiab crane to deliver goods to designated sites, including construction sites, warehouses, and commercial premises
- Load and unload cargo using the Hiab crane, ensuring proper securing and adherence to safety protocols
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any maintenance issues promptly
- Plan delivery routes efficiently to meet schedules and optimize fuel usage
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery status, delays, or issues encountered during transit
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation, including logs, manifests, and delivery receipts
- Follow all safety regulations and company policies to ensure a secure working environment
Skills
- Must have Allmi Card and at least 1 year experience
- Strong knowledge of commercial driving regulations and safety standards
- Skilled in operating a Hiab crane with precision and care
- Excellent driving record with clean license credentials for Class 2 vehicles
- Ability to handle physical tasks associated with loading/unloading cargo safely
- Good communication skills for coordinating with team members and clients
- Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and routes while maintaining professionalism
