Multi-skilled carpenter wanted — the sort of tradesperson who can turn their hand to anything.
Brackmere is a busy building company working across Bury and the surrounding areas. We've got a steady, ongoing pipeline of domestic building work and we're looking for one reliable, experienced all-rounder to become our go-to person on the tools.
Carpentry is the core of the role — 1st and 2nd fix, hanging doors, kitchen fitting — but we need someone genuinely multi-skilled who can also take on bathrooms, general plumbing, roofing repairs and the day-to-day jobs that come up on domestic projects. You'll be left to run jobs on your own, so we need someone we can trust to turn up on time, crack on without being chased, and finish work to a standard we'd happily put our name to.
What the work looks like:
- 1st and 2nd fix carpentry, door hanging, skirting, architrave
- Kitchen and bathroom fitting, including basic plumbing
- Roofing repairs and general maintenance
- General building works on domestic jobs around Bury
- Working unsupervised day to day, with support from us when you need it
What we're offering:
- £180–£240 per day depending on experience, paid weekly
- Consistent, ongoing work — not a two-week job then nothing
- Work around Bury,
- A straightforward setup: we line up the jobs, you get on with them
What we need from you:
- Time-served or equivalent experience across the building trades, with strong carpentry
- Own van, full UK driving licence and own tools
- References or photos of previous work — we will check
- Reliable and punctual — this is the number one thing we're hiring for
- Able to problem-solve on site and manage your own day
