Main purpose of the role:
As Workshop Supervisor, you will oversee the day‑to‑day running of our busy workshop at BCA Corby, supervising a team of 20+ workshop technicians and ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently and to the highest standards. Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, you will play a key role in driving performance, maintaining professional standards and supporting the smooth running of workshop operations.
You will champion a culture centred around Safety, Quality, Productivity and Professional Standards, while supporting the development and wellbeing of your team.
Key Duties:
- Lead daily workshop operations — supervise and motivate a team of 20+ technicians, ensuring targets, KPIs and quality standards are met
- Coordinate workflow — plan daily tasks, allocate resource and liaise with internal departments to maximise efficiency
- Manage people processes — oversee attendance, holidays, performance reviews and skill‑testing for new starters
- Champion safety and compliance — uphold H&S standards, enforce site rules and ensure all staff follow company and customer policies
- Maintain operational standards — ensure vehicles are parked within SLA requirements and report any breaches to the Operations Manager
