Summary
We are seeking a talented and passionate Breakfast Chef to join our kitchen team at the Heath Court Hotel. This role is key in delivering high-quality food and excellent service in line with our hotel’s standards and values.
Shift times are 06:30 - 11.30 on weekdays and 07:00 - 11.00 on weekends, with the potential for additional hours to cover lunch or dinner shifts when required.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook breakfast service to consistently high standards, ensuring quality, presentation, and portion control.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, adhering to all food hygiene and health & safety regulations.
- Ensure breakfast items are replenished promptly and presented attractively throughout service.
- Assist with stock rotation, ordering, and the proper storage of ingredients.
- Support with occasional lunch or event preparation as required.
- Work collaboratively with front-of-house and kitchen teams to ensure smooth service.
- Report any maintenance or equipment issues promptly to management.
- Contribute ideas for menu development and seasonal updates.
Qualifications & Experience
- Proven experience as a Breakfast Chef, Chef de Partie, or similar role in a hotel or restaurant environment.
- Strong knowledge of food safety, allergen awareness, and kitchen hygiene standards.
- NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in Professional Cookery preferred but not essential.
- Ability to work efficiently and independently during early shifts.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills.
- A positive attitude, reliability, and commitment to maintaining high standards.
- Flexibility to work weekends and public holidays as required.
