The Role
We are looking for an experienced and qualified Fire Risk Assessor with fire door inspection capability to join our team. You will be responsible for conducting thorough fire risk assessments across a variety of premises types and carrying out fire door inspections in line with current legislation and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct fire risk assessments across commercial, residential, and other premises
- Carry out fire door inspections and produce detailed inspection reports
- Identify fire safety deficiencies and provide clear, actionable recommendations
- Ensure compliance with the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 and relevant British Standards
- Maintain accurate records and deliver reports to a high standard
- Liaise professionally with clients and support ongoing relationships
Essential Qualifications & Experience
- NEBOSH Fire Safety and Risk Management Certificate or equivalent (e.g. FPA, IFE accreditation)
- Registered on a recognised fire risk assessor competency scheme (e.g. NAFRAR, IFE Register, FRACS)
- Certificated Fire Door Inspector – FDIS, BRE/IFDIA, or equivalent recognised qualification
- Sound knowledge of BS 9999, BS 8214, and Approved Document B
- Proven track record of conducting fire risk assessments across varied premises types
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable
- Third-party accredited assessor status
- Experience in complex or high-rise residential settings
- Knowledge of fire strategy and passive fire protection
