Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Fleet Service Technician & Driver to join our team. This role involves maintaining and repairing our fleet of vehicles, ensuring they are safe and operational, as well as providing efficient transportation services. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, excellent customer service skills, and the physical capability for heavy lifting. Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on fleet vehicles to ensure safety and compliance standards are met.
- Perform repairs using hand tools and power tools, including tyre changes, oil changes, brake repairs, and other mechanical tasks.
- Assist with vehicle diagnostics to identify mechanical issues accurately.
- Maintain detailed records of all maintenance and repairs performed on each vehicle.
- Drive fleet vehicles to various locations as required, ensuring timely and safe transportation of goods or personnel.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing any vehicle-related concerns professionally and efficiently.
- Assist with heavy lifting tasks related to vehicle parts or equipment to support maintenance activities.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to minimise risks during vehicle servicing and driving duties.
Experience
- Proven experience in vehicle maintenance or a similar role within a fleet environment is preferred.
- Knowledge of mechanical systems, including engines, brakes, transmissions, and electrical components.
- Familiarity with hand tools and power tools used in vehicle repair and maintenance.
- Ability to perform basic diagnostics and troubleshooting on various types of vehicles.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with team members and clients.
- Physical strength and stamina for heavy lifting and manual tasks associated with vehicle servicing.
- Valid driving licence suitable for operating fleet vehicles safely across different locations. Pay: From £25,000.00 per year
