Duties
- Prepare vehicle surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and masking to ensure optimal paint adhesion and finish quality
- Apply primer, base coats, clear coats, and touch-up paint using spray guns and hand tools with precision and consistency
- Mix paints and color match to achieve perfect color accuracy for each vehicle
- Use power tools and hand tools effectively for surface preparation, sanding, and detailing tasks
- Conduct heavy lifting of vehicles or parts when necessary, following safety protocols to prevent injury
- Inspect painted surfaces for imperfections, blemishes, or inconsistencies; perform touch-ups as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly stored and calibrated
Qualifications
- Demonstrated mechanical knowledge related to vehicle bodywork and painting processes
- Proficiency with hand tools such as sanders, scrapers, brushes, and masking tape applicators
- Experience operating power tools including spray guns, grinders, or sanders is highly desirable
- Ability to lift heavy vehicle parts or entire vehicles safely and efficiently
- Strong attention to detail with an eye for color matching and surface quality
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to follow detailed instructions accurately
- Prior experience in automotive painting or body shop environment is a plus but not mandatory; training provided for motivated candidates
