This is a maternity cover Clinical Fellow post in Minimally Invasive Surgery and Pelvic Pain at University Hospitals Sussex. It offers a unique opportunity to gain advanced experience in laparoscopic surgery, pelvic pain management, hysteroscopy, and gynaecological ultrasound.
Based primarily at Princess Royal Hospital, the role involves working closely with Miss Rebecca Mallick at the BSGE-accredited Sussex Endometriosis Centre.
The post is ideal for post-CCT clinicians, CESR candidates, or trainees on OOPE/OOPT seeking high-volume benign gynaecology training.
Key components include regular theatre and outpatient sessions, participation in the endometriosis MDT, and involvement in research, teaching, service development, and leadership. The fellow will be embedded in a supportive, multidisciplinary team across a dynamic and expanding tertiary centre.

The postholder will work closely with Miss Rebecca Mallick , Consultant Gynaecologist and Lead for the Sussex Endometriosis Centre , a well-established and growing BSGE-accredited tertiary referral unit for complex endometriosis.
This post is ideal for a post-CCT candidate looking to further develop their surgical, clinical, managerial, and leadership skills prior to applying for a substantive consultant post. It is also suitable for clinicians pursuing CESR or for those taking OOPE/OOPT to enhance their benign gynaecology experience
