Newport Road Dental are currently looking to recruit a Full Time Dental Nurse to join their mixed dental practice based in Cardiff.
The successful candidate would ideally be available to start as soon as possible, however notice periods will be taken into consideration for the suitable candidate.
Hours of work : Monday - Thursday 8:45am - 4:15pm (with 1/2 hour for lunch)
Salary : £15 - £18 per hour depending on experience.
Uniform will be provided.
The successful candidate must have a minimum of 1 years' Dental Nursing experience, be registered with the GDC and hold a valid DBS to be considered
The role of a Dental Nurse is to help with preparing patients, sterilizing instruments, setting up the dental surgery, and some dental hygiene tasks.
Responsibilities:
· Preparing patients for dental treatment/s.
· Helping with infection control by sterilizing and disinfecting instruments, setting up instrument trays, preparing materials, and assisting with dental procedures.
· Assisting dentists in managing medical and dental emergencies when necessary.
· Assisting dental hygienists with procedures when necessary.
· Providing great patient care.
· Recording treatment information in patient records, when required by the dentist to do so.
· Assisting in the exposing dental x-rays from dental diagnostics and caring for dental x-ray equipment.
· Able to give patients information on dental hygiene, oral health care, and plaque control programs.
· Collecting and recording medical and dental histories and patient vital signs.
· Providing postoperative instructions as directed by the dentist.
· Caring for dental equipment.
· Ordering dental supplies and maintaining dental equipment inventory.
Requirements:
· GDC Registered
· CPD maintained during currernt cycle..
· Good Computer skills – Familiar with Dental Programs (SOE preferable)
· Good written and verbal communication skills.
· Consistently professional appearance and attitude.
· Able to provide great patient care.

Pay: £14.00-£15.00 per hour
