Working hours: Monday to Friday, 9.00am – 5.00pm
Reporting directly to the QA Manager this is an office based administration role, working closely with other departments within the company and with customers and suppliers.
Key responsibilities
- Specifications – transferring spec information from our suppliers onto our own format, completing customer format specifications, completing Internet based specifications (such Hamilton Grant, Foods Connected, Authenticate)
- Speaking with suppliers (mainly from outside the UK) to gain information we and our customers require such as: factory information, specific product details, pesticide information, process flows / CCP’s.
- Working on SAP system to gain information about products our customers have taken.
- Customer queries – sending supplier certificates, completing HARA forms, completing Allergen documents, completing customer questionnaires, specific product queries.
- Labels / artwork – checking labels to ensure they meet legislation and contain all information needed.
- Possible work with the microbiological database / sending certificates of analysis / QC Checks / Shelf life monitoring.
- Logging complaints on the database.
- Investigating complaints with suppliers and replying to customers regarding the complaint.
- Working closely with the Technical team and other departments within the business.
- This role is a split role doing QA admin 3 days a week and Complaints 2 days a week.
Skills, knowledge and experience
- Experience with specifications
- Experience within the food industry
- Experience with complaints handling
- Computer literate
- Driving licence (preferred but not essential)
- Experience with quality assurance systems
- Good attention to detail
- Basic understanding of microbiological standards (preferred but not essential)
- Food related qualification (preferred but not essential)
