The Role

Processes a designated range of tests and carries out technical procedures on patient samples using a range of scientific measurements and complex equipment

Trained to operate and maintain complex equipment.

Participates in training of less experience personnel.

Pathology based posts will receive, store and discharge deceased patients in the mortuary.
The working pattern for this role is Day Shifts.
In this key role, you will:

Trained to operate and maintain complex equipment.

Required to work independently with indirect supervision from HPC registered practitioners.

Adherence to policies and procedures relevant to all areas of work in accordance with Departmental, Directorate, Hospital and regulatory requirements.
What You'll Bring:
-
Experienced to a minimum level of HND in Biomedical Sciences, a science degree would be desirable or a minimum of two years experience as a Healthcare Science Support Worker (Higher grade) with evidence of training and applied knowledge of a wide variety of laboratory procedures with commitment to further educational development to HND level.

Attendance at courses, training on new instrumentation.
