Duties
- Assist the Head baker in managing daily kitchen activities, including food preparation and production
- Supervise kitchen staff to ensure adherence to food safety and hygiene standards
- Coordinate food orders, inventory management, and stock control to maintain optimal supplies
- Oversee food presentation and quality control during service periods
- Support the training and development of team members in culinary techniques and safety procedures
- Ensure compliance with health regulations and safety protocols at all times
- Contribute ideas for menu development, baking projects, and innovative culinary offerings
Skills
- Proven experience in food production, food preparation, and cooking within a professional kitchen setting
- Strong knowledge of kitchen operations, culinary techniques, and baking processes
- Excellent understanding of food safety standards and restaurant hygiene practices
- Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment
- Effective communication skills to coordinate with staff and management seamlessly
