Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Coffee Bar Assistant to join our vibrant team. This role involves providing excellent customer service while preparing and serving high-quality coffee and refreshments in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering a welcoming experience and maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene. Previous experience in a similar setting is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided. Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee, tea, and other beverages according to company standards
- Assist customers with their orders in a courteous and professional manner
- Ensure all food safety and hygiene regulations are strictly adhered to at all times
- Handle cash transactions accurately using the till system
- Maintain cleanliness of the counter, equipment, and surrounding areas throughout the shift
- Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth service during busy periods
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as assembling sandwiches or snacks when required
- Manage time effectively to ensure prompt service during peak hours
- Follow health and safety procedures diligently to create a safe environment for colleagues and customers
Experience
- Previous barista experience or work within a food service environment is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided
- Knowledge of food safety standards is desirable
- Experience in serving customers with excellent communication skills is advantageous
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately are necessary
- Ability to manage time efficiently during busy periods to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction
