Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Night Care Assistant to provide high-quality care during overnight hours within a care home setting. The successful candidate will support residents' needs through attentive personal care, companionship, and ensuring a safe environment throughout the night. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents while working in a supportive team environment.
Duties
- Offer personalised care to residents, including assistance with daily activities such as washing, dressing, and mobility support
- Monitor residents’ wellbeing throughout the night, responding promptly to any calls or needs
- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided and any incidents or observations
- Support residents with their nutritional needs, including helping with snacks or drinks during the night shift
- Ensure the safety and security of the premises by conducting regular checks and reporting any concerns
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and family members as required
- Assist with light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and comfortable environment for residents
Experience
- Previous experience working within a care home or home care environment is desirable but not essential; full training will be provided
- Knowledge of care plans and ability to follow prescribed procedures accurately
- A caring attitude, patience, and excellent organisational skills are essential for providing effective overnight support
This role is ideal for individuals committed to delivering compassionate care during night hours, supporting residents’ comfort and safety through attentive service.
Our shifts are 2000 to 0800. You will be working with a very experienced team.

Pay: £12.71 per hour
