Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Plumbing & Heating Engineer to join our growing team.
The role will involve the installation, maintenance, fault finding and commissioning of plumbing and heating systems across a range of high-quality residential and commercial projects. The successful candidate should have a strong technical understanding of modern heating systems, work to a consistently high standard and be comfortable working both independently and as part of a wider M&E team.
Experience with air source heat pumps, underfloor heating and modern heating controls would be particularly beneficial. An understanding of air conditioning systems is also desirable, and an F-Gas qualification would be a significant advantage.

Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, repair and commission domestic and commercial plumbing and heating systems.
- Install and work with boilers, cylinders, radiators, pumps, valves, pipework and associated controls.
- Install and commission underfloor heating systems, manifolds and associated controls.
- Assist with the installation, commissioning and fault finding of air source heat pump systems.
- Carry out fault finding and diagnose mechanical and heating system issues efficiently.
- Undertake planned and reactive maintenance where required.
- Work alongside electrical, controls, ventilation and air conditioning engineers on integrated M&E installations.
- Demonstrate a good understanding of air conditioning systems and their interaction with wider mechanical installations.
- Read and work from mechanical drawings, specifications and manufacturers' technical information.
- Carry out testing, commissioning and system checks prior to handover.
- Maintain accurate records of works completed, materials used and commissioning information.
- Ensure installations are completed in accordance with manufacturers' requirements, current regulations and company quality standards.
- Maintain a clean, organised and professional working environment.
- Liaise professionally with clients, contractors, project managers and other trades.
- Ensure all works are undertaken in accordance with company health and safety procedures.
Experience & Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have:
- Proven experience as a Plumbing & Heating Engineer within residential and/or commercial environments.
- Strong knowledge of plumbing, heating and hot water systems.
- Good pipework installation skills and a high standard of workmanship.
- Experience installing and fault finding modern heating systems.
- Experience with underfloor heating systems.
- An understanding of air source heat pumps and renewable heating technologies.
- A good general understanding of air conditioning systems.
- F-Gas qualification – advantageous.
- Relevant plumbing and heating qualifications.
- Gas Safe registration or relevant gas qualifications would be advantageous depending on experience.
- Ability to read mechanical drawings and technical specifications.
- Good fault-finding and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong understanding of health and safety requirements.
- Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively within a wider project team.
- Good communication and customer-facing skills.
- Full UK driving licence.

The successful candidate will be organised, dependable and technically capable, with the ability to think through problems rather than simply complete individual tasks. Attention to detail is particularly important, as many of our projects require a high standard of finish and close coordination between plumbing, heating, air conditioning, electrical, controls and renewable systems.

Pay: £150.00-£250.00 per day
