Rushton Hall Hotel & Spa is seeking an experienced and professional Hotel Receptionist to join our Front Office team. Set within a magnificent Grade I listed country house and renowned for delivering exceptional guest experiences, Rushton Hall offers luxury accommodation, 2 rosettes dining, and premium spa facilities in the heart of Northamptonshire.
We are looking for a confident hospitality professional with previous hotel reception experience who is passionate about customer service and capable of delivering a seamless guest journey from arrival to departure.
The Role
As an experienced Hotel Receptionist, you will be the face of the hotel and a key ambassador for the Rushton Hall brand. You will be responsible for ensuring every guest receives a warm welcome, efficient service, and personalised attention throughout their stay.
This role requires a proactive individual who can work independently, manage multiple priorities, and maintain the highest standards of professionalism in a luxury hotel environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing guest check-ins and check-outs efficiently and accurately.
- Handling reservations, amendments, and enquiries via telephone, email, and online booking channels.
- Providing detailed information about hotel facilities, dining experiences, spa services, and local attractions.
- Resolving guest concerns promptly and professionally to ensure complete guest satisfaction.
- Processing payments, invoices, and daily reception records.
- Upselling bedrooms, dining experiences, and spa packages where appropriate.
- Supporting the Room Division Manager in maintaining operational standards and delivering exceptional customer service.
- Working closely with housekeeping, food and beverage, and spa teams to ensure a seamless guest experience.
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a hotel reception or front office role.
- Previous experience within a 4-star or 5-star hospitality environment is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong knowledge of hotel reservation and property management systems.
- Ability to remain calm, professional, and organised during busy periods.
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Flexible approach to working shifts, including weekends, evenings, and bank holidays.
- A genuine passion for delivering outstanding guest service.
