Dance & Musical Theatre Teacher
Ellavate Performing Arts – Rugby
Brand New Performing Arts School | Launching September 2026
COME AND BUILD SOMETHING SPECIAL WITH US ✨
Ellavate Performing Arts is a brand-new performing arts school launching in Rugby this September, and we're looking for an exceptional Dance & Musical Theatre Teacher to join us right at the beginning of our journey.
This isn't just another teaching position.
It's an opportunity to become part of an exciting new performing arts school, teach from a beautiful, purpose-built performing arts studio, and help us create an environment where children can grow in confidence, develop their talent and, most importantly, absolutely love performing.
Our new studio has been designed specifically to create an inspiring, professional and welcoming environment for both our teachers and students – a space you'll genuinely look forward to teaching in.
We want Ellavate to be somewhere children walk into excited and leave feeling ten feet tall.
And we're looking for someone who shares that vision.
WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
We're looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic and inspiring teacher with a genuine passion for working with young performers.
You'll be working primarily with children aged 2–11, helping them develop across dance and musical theatre while building confidence, creativity and performance skills.
We're particularly interested in someone who can bring energy, personality and fun into the studio.
Of course, technical ability matters – but so does the ability to connect with children, make classes exciting and create those moments that make a young performer fall in love with the performing arts.
Experience across areas such as ballet, jazz, tap, musical theatre, performance and choreography would be fantastic.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
- Planning and delivering exciting, age-appropriate dance and musical theatre classes
- Teaching and developing skills across ballet, jazz, tap and musical theatre
- Creating classes that combine strong technical development with energy, creativity and fun
- Helping children develop confidence, self-expression and a genuine love of performing
- Creating choreography and preparing students for performances and showcases
- Encouraging teamwork and creating an inclusive, supportive environment
- Recognising individual potential and helping every student progress at their own pace
- Providing positive, constructive feedback that helps students grow
- Helping us develop new ideas, performances and opportunities as Ellavate grows
ABOUT YOU
Ideally, you'll have:
- Experience teaching dance, musical theatre or performing arts to children
- Strong dance and/or musical theatre knowledge
- The confidence to lead a room and bring fantastic energy to a class
- Excellent communication skills
- An understanding of how to work with different ages, personalities and abilities
- A positive and encouraging approach to teaching
- The creativity to develop choreography, performances and engaging lesson content
- An understanding of safeguarding, behaviour management and inclusive teaching
- Reliability, professionalism and a genuine desire to be part of a growing team
Most importantly, we're looking for someone who cares about the children they teach.
Someone who celebrates the little wins.
Someone who notices the quiet child gaining confidence.
Someone who can challenge the talented performer while making sure the complete beginner feels equally valued.
And someone who wants to make their classes the highlight of a child's week.
WHY ELLAVATE?
Because you'll be joining us from the very beginning.
Ellavate isn't an established school looking for someone simply to fill some teaching hours.
We're building something new.
You'll have the opportunity to work from our newly created, purpose-built performing arts studio in Rugby, be part of the school's launch and help shape the culture and experience our students receive as we grow.
We want to build an incredible team of people who love performing arts, love developing young people and want to create something they can be genuinely proud to be part of.
As Ellavate grows, we'd love the opportunities available to the right people to grow with us too.
SOUND LIKE YOU?
If you're passionate about performing arts, brilliant with children and excited by the idea of joining a brand-new school at the very start of its journey, we'd absolutely love to hear from you.
Tell us a little about yourself, your performing arts background and, most importantly, why you'd love to be part of Ellavate.
Come and help us create something special.
