Duties
- Assist residents or clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence and dignity
- Support the implementation of individual care plans tailored to each person’s needs and preferences
- Provide companionship and emotional support to foster a warm, friendly environment
- Help with meal preparation and feeding, ensuring nutritional needs are met
- Maintain accurate records of care provided using simple IT systems and update care plans regularly
- Communicate effectively with residents, their families, and the wider care team to ensure consistent, high-quality support
- Support transportation needs by assisting clients to appointments or outings when required
Requirements
- Good communication skills in English, with the ability to listen actively and respond empathetically
- Experience working in a care home or home care environment is preferred but not essential; training will be provided
- Ability to follow detailed care plans and adhere to safety protocols at all times
- Basic IT skills for recording care activities and updating documentation accurately
- Valid driving license is desirable for roles involving home visits or transportation duties
- Strong interpersonal skills with a caring attitude and positive approach toward residents’ well-being
