Healthcare Assistant – Domiciliary Care
We are looking for a compassionate and reliable Healthcare Assistant to join our domiciliary care team. This role involves supporting individuals in their own homes, promoting independence, dignity, and high‑quality care.
Key Responsibilities
- Personal Care Support — Assisting clients with bathing, dressing, grooming and other daily living activities.
- Care Plan Compliance — Supporting clients according to their personalised care plans.
- Companionship — Offering emotional support and fostering a positive, respectful environment.
- Mobility & Transport — Assisting with mobility and driving clients to appointments when required.
- Record Keeping — Maintaining accurate, timely care notes and reporting any changes in condition.
- Home Environment Support — Ensuring cleanliness and safety within the client’s home.
- Team Collaboration — Working closely with healthcare professionals and the office team to deliver consistent, high‑quality care.
- IT Use — Using digital systems for documentation and communication.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience in Care — Previous experience in domiciliary care or care homes is preferred but not essential.
- Communication Skills — Strong verbal and written English.
- Basic IT Skills — Ability to use apps and digital documentation tools.
- Driving Licence — A valid driving licence and access to a car are highly advantageous.
- Caring Attitude — A genuine commitment to providing high‑quality support.
- Teamwork & Initiative — Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also demonstrating initiative.
