Job Purpose/ Role:

Reporting to Technical Manager, the Quality Control monitors the implementation of food safety and quality procedures on the floor, report deficiencies and correct them.
- Responsible for maintaining quality assurance processes.
- Work to ensure that packing line productions processes and product creation meets the quality specifications that are laid down by the customer/company. Be prepared for the requirement to move throughout the operation in a timely manner to successfully carry out their monitoring and recording functions within the predetermined timescales in a fast pace environment.
Duties & Responsibilities.

Maintain all documentation for the purpose of auditing

Carry out product inspections to meet customer standard
- Encourage cleanliness on the part of the staff and ensure safe working conditions are in place
- Focus on compliance in order to make sure that products meet the required specifications
- Check production records throughout production run to ensure accuracy

Engage in internal and external audits in a professional manner
- Ensure measuring equipment is functioning properly and within calibration requirements

Work closely with the Floor leaders to ensure that only quality products are produced
- Ensure that no expired raw material is used for production
- Help to check and update quality control procedures and templates as required

Remove non-conforming products that are discovered during the packing process and document corrective actions
- Proactive in ensuring the integrity of the food safety and food quality system are maintained

Responsible for reporting and taking necessary action to prevent food safety and food quality problems from occurring

Personal clothing is allowed, but strict health & safety procedures must be followed to avoid cross-contamination. Jewellery, watches, rings, earrings, false nails, nail varnish, or false eyelashes are not permitted on the production floor. Shorts or skirts must be on or below the knee.
