We’re looking for an experienced Solar Installer/Electrician to join the team and be part of that growth.

What you’ll be doing
As a Solar Installer/Electrician, you’ll be responsible for delivering high-quality solar PV, battery storage and electrical installations for domestic customers across the UK.
Role Responsibilities
- Carry out the installation, testing and commissioning of solar PV systems to a high standard.
- Install and commission battery energy storage systems (BESS).
- Complete associated electrical works, including consumer unit upgrades, cabling, isolators, protection and earthing.
- Carry out initial verification, inspection and testing of electrical installations.
- Diagnose and resolve electrical, solar PV and battery-storage faults.
- Ensure all installations comply with BS 7671, relevant industry standards and manufacturer requirements.
- Complete installation paperwork, test certificates, commissioning documents and other required records accurately.
- Work safely and professionally in customers’ homes and maintain excellent customer service at all times.
- Liaise with customers, colleagues and other members of the installation team to ensure projects are completed efficiently.
- Identify potential issues on site and communicate these clearly to the wider team.
- Maintain high standards of workmanship, cleanliness and professionalism.
- Follow Lime’s health and safety procedures and contribute to a positive safety culture.
- Keep up to date with relevant electrical, solar PV and battery-storage standards and technologies.
What you’ll need
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671) certification
- Level 3 NVQ in Electrical Installation or equivalent
- Level 3 Award in Initial Verification and Certification of Electrical Installations
- City & Guilds 2922-34 – Level 3 Award in the Installation and Maintenance of Small Scale Solar Photovoltaic Systems
- City & Guilds 2923-34 – covering the design, installation and commissioning of battery storage systems
- 2+ years’ experience in solar installation
- A strong understanding of electrical installations, solar PV and battery storage
- A professional approach and pride in delivering high-quality work
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- A full UK driving licence
